Pengjiang District has more than 15 large-scale Auto Parts & Accessories enterprises, creating the industrial output value of 2 billion yuan in 2008. Many famous enterprises like Guangdong Hyundai Mobiss Co., Ltd., China Wheel Co., Ltd., Xinjiang Redirector Manufacturing Co., Ltd. develop well in the district. Pengjiang government will keep making greater efforts to promote investment. The local auto parts & accessories enterprises are working more closely with the auto manufacturers in Guangzhou and Pearl River Delta region so as to form a regional logistics center.
Motorcycle and spare parts Industry:
Pengjiang District is the largest motorcycle production base in China and the famous motorcycle & spare parts marketing & distribution center of Pear River Delta with an annual output of 3.3 million motorcycles in 2008. There are more than 100 motorcycles and spare parts manufacturers, owning 10 independent brand catalogues such as Haojue, Haotian, Huoniao and Haojiang etc., and more than 600 motorcycle spare parts distributors. As the provincial motorcycle quality supervision & inspection station settles in Pengjiang, motorcycle industrial chain becomes much more perfect day by day. In 2008, the motorcycle production value reaches 20 billion RMB. Jiangmen Grand River Group is the leading enterprise in the district. It is ranked the first place in terms of overall economic benefits in the industry. Its product 'Haojue' motorcycle has been awarded the most reputed honor 'China Top Brand' for two consecutive years. Besides, cooperating with Japan Suzuki, Jiangmen Grand River Group established the biggest joint venture motorcycle R&D (researching and developing) center in China and its R&D ability leads the domestic counterparts. In 2008, the output of Jiangmen Grand River Group approaches 3 million motorcycles.
Hardware Machinery & Plumbing Fittings Industry:
There are more than 300 hardware and bathroom equipment enterprises in the district, creating the industrial gross value 81 billion in 2008. Many modern manufacturing enterprises like Giessdorf, American Standard, Goldien, Jorden have set their fruit-bearing business in Pengjiang District. In the future, it will take an advantage of the brand effect of Duruan Town, known as “China Hardware and Bathroom Equipment Base”, to improve the integration of local industry system.
Jewelry & Diamond Processing Industry:
Jewelry & diamond industry is located in Chaolian 'Diamond Island'. With an investment amount of 22 million USD, Continental Jewelry (Mfg.) Limited creates a processing value of more than 30 million RMB. For the moment, several projects, such as Baoyao Jewelry project, are expedited the construction. Confered on the jewelry & diamond industry, Pengjiang Government has the strategic vision to develop Chaolian “Diamond Island” into an island of diamond processing, tourism and leisure.
Glass and Glass Deep-processing Industry:
At present, there are 24 enterprises in the district, like Farun Glass Co., Ltd., as a head in this industry, investing 8 billion yuan. In 2008, the gross output value reached 3 billion yuan. By the chance of industrial shift from other developed areas, Pengjiang District is accelerating the industry conglomeration, which embraces glass deep processing, lamp decoration production, manufacturing and selling, as well as logistics.
Chemical Idustry:
Pengjiang District has 84 large-scale chemical enterprises, creating the industrial output value of 6.2 billion RMB. Leading companies including Guangdong Carpoly Chemical Co., Ltd., Jiangmen Lacquer Factory Co., Ltd., Jiangying Chemical Co., Ltd., Si Fang Wei Hai Chemical Co., Ltd. and so on. Carpoly paint manufactured by Guangdong Carpoly Chemical Co., Ltd. has been awarded the title 'China Famous Brand' and 'China Well-known Mark'.
Headquarter Economy:
Headquarter economy in Pengjiang District is fast growing. The district is now a vibrant business zone, full of high-rise buildings, like Taicheng mansion and Yiyuan mansion. Ten characteristic streets, such as Penglai Telecommunication Street, Jiangsha Automobile Trading Market, show obvious conglomeration effect. The scale of specialized markets, like Zhongbang International Decoration Market, is also constantly expanding. Modern logistics & storage industry is booming in Pengjiang District. Derun logistric center and Tongying logistic center are gaining scale. Bai Sha Ocean Cold Storage Warehouse, the largest frozen food logistic base in west Pearl River Delta and even west Guangdong, possesses international advanced refrigeration technique equipments and top-level management. Huahong logistics planned to cover an area of 800,400 square meters, is under construction. A west Guangdong logistic economic zone which can serve both the Wuyi area and western part of the province is taking shape in Pengjiang.
