The famous insurance companies and banks from the country and aboard have been setting up their subsections in Jiangmen, such as American International Assurance Co. LTD., China life Insurance (Group) Company, China Ping An Insurance Co. LTD., Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Guangdong Development Bank, ect.
Commercial Service:
Commercial Service develops so quickly in Pengjiang District. At present, there are two five star commercial hotels and a golf course with perfect facilities in the district. They are Yucca Hotel, Palace International Hotel and Guangdong Wuyi Fountain Palm Golf Club.
Technological Development:
Resources from commercial enterprises and institutes of high learning have been made good use here. By now, there are several enterprises-universities cooperation bases in the district, such as post doctorate workstation in Jiangmen Sanjie Battery Co. Ltd., post doctorate workstation in central hospital, master workstation in Grand River Group Company and so on. Combining to tackle key problems and carry out sample experiments, such cooperation bases have played an important role in the conversion between knowledge and power. Also, they have increased the technological sources in rebuilding traditional industries and developing new hi-tech industries, moreover, enhanced the key technological competitive power as well.
Medical Treatment & Sanitation:
In recent years, Jiangmen has witnessed rapid development of its medical system. There are totally 871 medical and health institutions, of which 126 are hospitals including a state-level AAA hospital and an AAA state-level Chinese medicine hospital. These institutions employ 16836 professionals. Jiangmen is still unremittingly developing its medical system. A cooperative health care system has been established in the rural area. Disease prevention and control system has been improved and an emergency response mechanism for eruptive health events has been established. Citizens here enjoy high health standard and their average life expectancy has reached 75 years.
